Book Week 2019

I had a fantastic Book Week at Yolla District School. There were animals on display in the school hall; a sheep and her lambs, chickens and rabbits!

I was positioned amongst all the wonderful book week exhibits, and got to watch the book parade too. I did workshops with Kindy and Grades 3, 4, 6,7 and 8.

I can now reveal that ‘Message In a Sock’ has been shortlisted in the NSW Premier’s History Award in the ‘Young People’s History Prize’! I am so excited! We get these lovely silver stickers on our books now too! Congratulations on all those shortlisted!

Message in a Sock Book Launch

I launched my new picture book Message in a Sock at the National Wool Museum in Geelong, Victoria. I finally met the author Kaye Baille, and Anna Solding, the editor of MIdnightSun Publishing.

It was a huge turn out, volunteers had made red crochet poppies, and Anzac Biscuits were served. The museum is so interesting, the staff welcoming and the historical building a great location for the book launch.
